Manufacturing firm welcomes senior associate — Aurochemicals in Washingtonville, a manufacturer of natural aroma chemicals for the flavor and fragrance industry, has announced the appointment of Michelle Pedersen to senior associate of customer service and internal sales. Pedersen, who has been with the company for over two years, previously served as customer service associate.

Pedersen will conduct internal sales activities, assist in managing electronic inventory records, and monitor customer trends, along with maintaining customer service and satisfaction. She previously was a customer service supervisor at the Pine Bush and Monroe branches of Provident Bank. She has an associate degree in accounting fromOrange County Community College.

Women’s Bar Association welcomes new board members — The Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties recently held its annual dinner and welcomed new board members. Kara Cavallo, an associate attorney practicing litigation at Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, was installed as president-elect. Kelly Pressler, also practicing litigation at the same firm,was installed as recording secretary, serving her first term on the board.

Physical therapist earns top certification — Dr. Justin Feldman, owner of Feldman Physical Therapy inside Gold’s Gym in LaGrange and Fishkill, has been named a certified golf medical professional. His new credentials were obtained through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), a leading educational organization and research facility dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.

“The TPI methodology is all about enabling players to swing a golf club as efficiently as possible,” explains Feldman. “By understanding proper swing, physical limitations and form corrections, golf players of all ages can safely enjoy their sport of choice and reduce their potential for the injuries that could potentially sideline them. Having this knowledge in-house allows us to further our commitment to providing the highest levels of patient care,” he said .

Feldman grew up in LaGrange, graduated from Arlington High School and received his doctorate in physical therapy from Ithaca College. After practicing for five years in a traditional physical therapy practice, he opened Feldman Physical Therapy.
