IAN SHULTIS, PT, DPT
I’m Physical Therapist Ian Shultis, Im glad you’re taking the time to read these to learn a little bit about us and what makes our team us.
My philosophy on physical therapy is pretty simple: if you’re not moving, we’re not making progress.
I grew up locally in Lagrange as one of five brothers, so “sitting still” was never an option in our house. Between playing sports, or just playing in the backyard, that active upbringing eventually turned into a career dedicated to helping people feel good with movement. I’ve been lucky enough to take that passion to the highest levels of sport as well, spending over a decade on the medical staff for USA Fencing, as well as staying active across the many colleges and high schools of the hudson valley, working both on the sidelines and in the Athletic Training room, keeping people healthy and figuring their way out through injuries.
At Feldman PT, I love that I get the time to truly listen to our patient’s stories. We don’t just treat injuries; we treat people. We get to practice and play everyday with the true matter of why we all started into Physical Therapy and I think you will find that evident when you start with any of us.
When I’m not in the clinic or working as an Athletic Trainer for our local teams, you’ll likely find me trail running, rock climbing, or mountain biking. If you see a car at a trailhead that looks like it’s permanently packed for a month-long camping trip, that’s probably me—I usually have about a dozen pairs of running shoes in there just in case.
