Marathon Injury Prevention

As you probably know by now here at Feldman Physical Therapy and Performance we love running, and we love runners just as much, but because of that we hate it when we see an injured runner. That’s why we were so happy to be able give a talk to a group of first time marathon runners at Fleet Feet Sports Poughkeepsie on steps they can take to help reduce their risk of injury, and ensure they reach their goals!

There are many things runners can do to avoid injuries, but by far the easiest and most overlooked is getting a good nights sleep. Running is stressful and hard on your body, there is no doubt about that, and the best way to help your body deal with that stress successfully is to get enough rest and recovery.
