JOHN NUNEZ, PT, DPT
Are you ready for the good, bad, and ugly?
I enjoy helping people and eating pizza. .
I grew up in Fishkill. I went to school, played sports, then went back to school. I accrued a whole lot of big unnecessary textbooks, before finally landing a job with Justin largely because he didn’t require an interview. We’ve been rocking and rolling ever since… growing every year as a team and with the community that we work tirelessly to serve.
I love my team here at Feldman. We have a blast working together to create an unparalleled patient experience while developing top notch programs for our clients.
It’s been a dream come true to follow in my father’s footsteps by bringing the highest quality healthcare to the Hudson Valley. He’s practiced as an orthopedic surgeon on Main Street in Fishkill for the past thirty years. My office is less than half a mile from where I used to race his office hallways on a rolling stool and see what new colors he got for casts. For as long as I could remember I wanted to pursue that dream, and be the next “Nunez” name in sports medicine. I’m forever indebted to my dad for his inspiration.
As a new patient, you can expect a care-free attitude and fun, laid back experience if we work together. I like to set the tone early. If I’m going to be working the rest of my life, I plan on being relaxed while we take care of business.
If you had to ask me for more? I want to be the guy that people think of as the first line of defense to address pain and injury that’s interfering with their life. Are you a runner or soccer player? We should get to know each other!
I’ve played and coached my entire life. I’ve worked with athletes of all ages and abilities. I’ve also taken to endurance sports despite an already crazy schedule. Somehow I make it work because I have way too much fun chiding my coworkers and friends when we train and travel for races. I have some lofty goals, but we’ll see how that goes.
If I’m not in Fishkill working, you can find me at my outside office coaching the Stockade FC, or on the trails and roads of the Hudson Valley training for and racing Ironmans.
Full disclosure:
Did I mention I like pizza? I also love cigars, bourbon, watches, hotels, being in the ocean, the snooze button, Halloween, Brazilian steakhouses, my dog, and most of all my amazing wife, Vanessa. I should’ve probably listed these in reverse order…sorry Dear! I love my family. We don’t take anything too seriously and they’ve given me so many incredible memories.
I enjoy learning but reading books is at the bottom of my list. You’ll never hear me say the book was better than the movie. I love watching movies and my taste is as eclectic as my music preferences. Let’s just say I’m not very proud of my techno days. But I do get jazzed up from anything like Die Hard and Fast and the Furious to Moana and Hallmark movies. I secretly wish I could be James Bond and I cry like a baby when someone gets a crown for Christmas.
When I’m not eating pizza or enjoying working with my patients you can catch me on the pitch juggling a soccer ball or running and cycling for my new found love of triathlon. After hours you can catch me salsa dancing with my wife or going out to restaurants. I have terrible DIY skills and I get way too excited about things our house doesn’t need. For the record, I won the battle over the lawn dinosaur statue.

Customer Reviews:
“My dad is a pretty good dad. Except he usually leaves all day and comes home smelling like strangers and pizza. But he does take me with him every now and then and I get to meet all the people he fixes. He yells at some of them for not doing their homework just like he yells at me for chasing deer. He does love coming home to play with me though, and gives hekkin’ good ear scratches.”
5.0 paws – would recommend him

What my friends say about me:
“My jokes are bad but the adventures are always great.”
X Stars – No Rating given because he hasn’t paid us yet.
What my sister says about me:
“You wouldn’t have even gotten into college without me writing your application essay.”
4 Stars – He’s still an annoying little brother
What my coworkers say about me:
“He’s not allowed near any of the technological stuff.”
5 Stars -Would recommend, but he’s down in Fishkill, if you’re into that kind of thing.
What Justin’s son, Hayden, says about me:
“He needs help remembering things, but my dad says he’s a good PT as long as he’s in a different office.”
4.5 Stars
Owner’s edit: Hayden, I forgot my phone ONE time!
What my wife says about me:
“Marrying a PT doesn’t mean you get free treatment and you still have to book an appointment. He talks on the phone a lot and uses big words, but I think he just makes them up. And don’t let him fool you, he pulled his calf muscle salsa dancing at a wedding. Despite being a procrastinator, asking me to do this two hours past my bedtime, and impulsively signing up for races, he is an amazing PT and absolutely loves his job. He loves seeing his patients out in public and gets excited planning new things with his coworkers.”
4.5 stars – would recommend. He loses half a star because he doesn’t know how to be quiet getting ready in the morning.
