The shoulder joint has the most range of motion of any joint. This means that it is also prone to injury and discomfort. It’s also one of the most used joints, not only putting it at high risk but also causing disruption in simple tasks when shoulder pain is present. It could have come on quickly from a sudden movement or during an activity. Or perhaps the pain has been present for a number of weeks and a Doctor recommended Physical Therapy. There are many different causes of shoulder pain including arthritis, Frozen Shoulder, Rotator Cuff Tendonitis, Impingement Syndrome, and dislocation. Physical Therapy for shoulder pain may help to avoid surgery, but if surgery is required, you may also come to us for rehabilitation after procedures such as a Rotator Cuff repair or total Shoulder replacement.
