FOOT INJURIES

We depend on our feet and they do a large amount of work for us. They manage less than ideal conditions in non-supportive shoes and even take a back seat in the gym. (Yes, you CAN and SHOULD remember your feet in your workouts!) But when we have foot pain, we know it right away because it immediately affects our daily life. And any one, whether athlete or couch surfer, is susceptible to foot injuries and foot pain. Conditions that we treat include Achilles tendonitis, Achilles repair rehabilitation, balance difficulties, Lyme disease, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, heel pain, and tendon injuries.

The foot has so many bones, muscles and ligaments that it’s important to see a Physical Therapist to help identify the source of the problem. Whether you are experiencing chronic pain or have had a recent injury, don’t wait for your foot pain to become unbearable.  Contact Feldman Physical Therapy and Performance for a full evaluation by our Doctors of Physical Therapy.  We can determine if additional tests are needed and get a jump start on the best plan to begin recovery.

There is no set timeline for recovery but, working with a Physical Therapist can certainly help speed it up.  At Feldman Physical Therapy and Performance, you will experience one on one treatment with a Doctor of Physical Therapy to create a personalized plan that gets you meeting and even exceeding your goals with fewer visits.  The immediate goals are to reduce pain and swelling in your foot.  As rehabilitation progresses, you can expect ankle exercises to improve range of motion, strength, balance, endurance, and flexibility.
